The
Medical Specialists Centre started as a small Polyclinic in 1979, by
Dr. Sayed Jaffer S. Mohammed and Dr.Abdulla Ibrahim Al Khayat. Both 
graduated from Cairo University in 1970 followed by post-graduate degrees.
Dr.
Sayed Jaffer S. Mohammed from the Royal College of Surgeon of Edinburgh
, U.K. and holds an FRCS in General Surgery and Dr. Abdulla Ibrahim Al-Khayat
, M.D. from Cairo University in Paediatrics, & holds an FRCP from
Ireland. The clinic is also supported by other Medical Staff in different
specialities like Internal Medicine/Cardiology/Dental/Gynaecology &
Obstetrics/General Practice and Laboratory.
By
the year 2001
, the Clinic enlarged and transferred into a Day Care Centre, where nearly 23
Medical Staff are involved in running it in addition to other facilities
like operative procedures through the Operation Theatre, 24 hrs patients
admission services, elaborate Laboratory Services/X-ray services/Physiotherapy,
24 hour working day of the center, etc. Beside that, a Pharmacy was
established at the Centre to fulfil the patients' requirements of
medicines.
